I thought of a funny comparison: asking a photographer what camera they use to make great pictures is like asking a trainer what saddle they use to do great training. I think my brain will be running all day with this and all the limitless places it can go (artist/brush, ballerina/pointe shoes, musician/instrument etc.) Good tools are great, but they only take anyone in any field so far. Anyone else going to jump in on this?

Another from yesterday

I can't seem to get away from editing these lovely pictures. The foal just makes me sigh and feel all happy inside. SO, here's another of her.

Happy day!

I had the joy of going out to photograph, meeting an on line friend and making it a real life friend, and photographed the cutest baby, all at once. Does it get better than that? This is just the first one that caught my eye, they are still down loading. But, I am oh so pleased.

This little girl is a surprise baby, but she makes me feel spring is in the air and that it will be a great picture year. A bad economy has no power to make foals less wondrous!!

OK, last of the birthday posts. This is a self portrait. The henna is by Wendy at Roving Horse Henna. She, too, is a life long horse woman and artist. We will be collaborating soon in another way. She will be hennaing and I will be photographing both an equine and a human model. I think we get to photograph at the beach too. This should be delicious.

Tomorrow should be fun - I am off to photograph a friend's new Andalusian foal. He adopted a lamanitic mare from a herd reduction. Classic case of an unknown 2 for one. I do not think he is sorry one bit.
